Technical Work

 

 

The company has carried out work for the MOD , including 3D embroidery techniques using its specialist embroidery machine.

3D Carbon fibre shapes have been embroidered for Racing Car end uses.

Kevlar glove and Kevlar protective arm guards for Archery

Tubular Filtration fabric production for use in the Chemical Industry to a high spec using polyproplene

Hip Socket protective ‘socks’ for companies such as 3M – these are later irradiated for transit to the operating theatre

Tubular fabric has been supplied to rock climbing companies whereby a polyester tube has been produced to a given spec such that chalk will be released in given quantities as required when rubbed.

Print roller fabric has been made for the printing industry.

Some development work on Oil Booms has also been carried out – Polyester tubing designed to carry absorbent materials for oil slicks.

On the medical side, the company has in the past worked on the development of prosthetic , seamless socks.

The company is well know for its circular knitting experience, and is approached many times for its ability to produce knitted tubes of various gauges/diameters for end uses that require the absence of a seam.
